Moving to a new town is a lot. The last thing a family needs is to worry about whether their home looks the part. We kicked off our exterior painting season with exactly that kind of job - a family new to the area who wanted their place to feel like home, inside and out.
The body of the house got a clean, deep slate blue that carries well from every angle - front, side, and back. It's a color choice that works with the stone accents on the foundation and holds up to direct sunlight without looking washed out. Getting that kind of consistency across a full two-story exterior takes careful prep and the right application technique. No shortcuts.
The front door was the finishing touch that really tied it together. A bright, warm yellow against the dark siding makes a statement without being overdone. Door refinishing is something we take seriously - the panel edges, the trim lines, the transition to the door surround. All of it has to be clean or the whole thing falls apart.
What we love about this kind of work is that it's more than paint. For a family planting roots somewhere new, having a home that looks polished and intentional matters. It helps a house start to feel like theirs. That's the part of this job that doesn't show up in a color swatch, but you feel it when it's done right.
Word of mouth and community connections are a big part of how we find the people we work with. We're grateful for that. If your home's exterior has been on your list, this is the time of year when conditions are right and our schedule is filling up.
